The Blue Ocean Strategy management discipline is based on the best-selling book, Blue Ocean Strategy: how to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make the Competition Irrelevant by W. Chang Kim and Renee Mauborgne, Professors at INSEAD (Harvard Business Press). StratX is a company that provides simuations for management training. Its Markstrat is used in most business schools around the world and by many corporations. The company has developed a Blue Ocean Strategy simulation, and provides training and Blue Ocean Strategy certification. Biographical Note: As leader of StratX's Boston office, Philippe is responsible for key client relationships across the Americas and Europe. He also continues to lead major client assignment including the development and deployment of new marketing simulations customized to client issues, processes and strategic priorities. Throughout his career, Philippe has gained extensive marketing consulting experience in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare sectors, as well as Business-to-Business, Hi-tech and Consumer Goods. His expertise includes managing consulting assignments and achieving significant productivity improvements via increased marketing and sales effectiveness. Prior to joining StratX, Philippe worked as a senior consultant with Gemini Consulting in the US and Europe, where he was involved in multi-million dollar marketing consulting assignments aimed at operational improvement. Philippe also worked with the Commercial Department of the French Consulate, where he led initiativesto expand bilateral trade in the electronics industry.
